I'm not asking about today's, agonizing to watch, "No Bull - No Bias" pretend CNN.

The one that has to explain away its nothing but - bull & bias - with its 100 x's a day - self professed, "No Bull -No Bias" - bullshit promo ads.

The one that's a political 'marketing machine'.

The one that 'features' the same, same, same, same "Expert Opinion" robotic - "Say it often enough.... and they'll eventually believe it',   same, same, same, same, 'spokespersons, panelists, guests'.

The one that spews the, same, same, same, same, same "Same shit - different Pile"   pathetic attempts of 'Put a
new spin on it'   BIG YAWN stories.

The one that fired the REAL journalists and replaced them with: 'Same Hairstylist - good teeth' News Readers, possessing, very little gray matter, no investigative skills, no concept whatsoever of what: Who, What, Where, When & Why, means.

The one that turned Larry King into: CNN's Entertainment Tonight & Domestic News only, Host.

That's not the CNN I'm looking for. I'm looking for the REAL CNN !

The one that opened the "Door to the World"   for us.
The one that featured the TRUTH.
The one that introduced us to interviews with World Leaders.
The one that introduced us to BOTH SIDES of an Argument.
The one that ASSUMED we had brains.
The one that was filled with REAL News.

Rabble.ca's- ugly response to: 600,000 Forced to Flee Quebec article.

Rabble.ca is a relatively new on line paper that 'claims' to be the new source to get news others don't give you and stuff like that. I found it a few days ago and thought WOW, what do you know... and online Canadian paper that tells the truth?   Boy, oh boy was I ever mistaken!! I made the mistake of not noticing rabble.ca is promoted by the "Council of Canadians" a very small clicky group that just sounds big. It's a 'council of Canadians' that very few Canadians know exist! It's a group that 'declared themselves' the 'Council of Canadians' I got my first taste of - God help you if you dare discuss anything outside their 'we'll tell you what you can say box'!

I mistakenly assumed (I know, never assume, sigh) they'd be at the very least, interested in the ethnic cleansing going on in Quebec. Believe it or not most Canadians outside Quebec don't know the truth - (except the 600,000 who fled of course) So I posted a copy of the article I wrote "Canada's Dirty Secret" on their 'freedom spouting site".
Their response was - I was not only warned (see last comment) - I was immediately blocked from the site altogether!!

Remember when I mentioned in the article, that people who dared speak up being belittled and maligned etc?

Tiger Woods: Media-Judge-Jury-Executioner

I spent part of yesterday and today, listening to our local media run with the latest Tiger Woods story.
I won't call it news - because the Tiger Woods saga is not news. We all know what the man did, and what a sinner he is or was, and how much he disappointed and hurt us all and all the other nonstop utter bullshit foisted upon us since this 'horrible scandal' reared its ugly, ugly head.

Radio & TV News Headlines are busily running - every 2 minute spouts of: "Find Out What Tiger Woods Had to Say, (right after this commercial, stay tuned). Followed up with a lofty, sneering lure of: "Woods says his cheating ways are not acceptable"... And then run blurbs of callers that validate the sneers. Callers who rant and rave "I don't believe Tiger, He's a phony, I've lost all faith in him, He makes me sick!".. etc.   Then, on come the talk show hosts gleefully agreeing with them. They couldn't be happier, the Tiger Woods' news conference - disappointed them!   'I don't believe him either, they roar'. "There wasn't one iota of sincerity - in his voice - or his presentation. I'm just happy he didn't try the crying routine - because that would have had me jump off a bridge with disgust!"

They of course, spend as little time as humanly possible addressing or responding to the overwhelming number of callers, who say they're sick and tired of the self righteous sanctimonious - press - denouncing and demeaning this 'fallen hero' every way they can!   They blithely ignore the callers who tell them, they are sick of this type of journalism.

They totally ignore what Tiger Woods had to say. Which is, that he's sorry he's disappointed his fans and his family etc...   More importantly - they TOTALLY ignore Wood's plea to "Leave his family alone!   They ignore the FACT that the MEDIA has made life hell for his children, his wife, his friends and his mother. They take no responsibility for the devastation they themselves are wreaking on these people and their lives! Tell me, what could the man have said that would have satisfied these hyenas? They're upset because he didn't say what they expected? What do they want? What do they expect exactly? They sure didn't give me an answer when I asked: "What would have been a satisfactory statement for you?"    The question was ignored. They don't want to have to think about things like that. Think about it.

And isn't this typical of our present day bullshit media?   The truth is - their raison d'etre has turned into destroyer instead of reporter. They are the ones who've knowingly and deliberately, destroyed countless lives - with their irresponsible, often dangerous and deadly quest for their 'Target Of The Day'.   Judge-Jury - Executioner.

Don't they remember the 'journalistic oath' they took to REPORT the news, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth? Done so, only after thoroughly researching ALL the facts and removing 'rumor and innuendo' from fact?

I again coin the phrase: 'We are what the media feeds us'. Let's take a peek at what they are feeding us these days:

Doesn't most of it start with something like: 'An unconfirmed source has revealed that....' and the speculation begins. And before we know it, they've hooked us, like greedy fish, into becoming spellbound - by the latest scandal of who is
screwing who - or who got caught with their pants down.   Who caught them? Who made it public? The media of course! That's the caliber of what we and our supposed 'journalist' considers 'news'.

Look at us. Haitii - old news. Millions starving in Somalia - old news. Iranians struggling for democracy - beaten, jailed and killed - old news. Mans inhumanity to man - old news, dull news - makes me uncomfortable and sad news.

News happening every day, every minute. News that matters!   'Do Something News! That is - IF we got involved and behaved like the empathetic human beings we claim we are. But gee... that would mean - we'd have to behave like empathetic human beings. We'd have to get off our keesters and actually DO something positive.

We are what the media feeds us. Then again, we are the ones at the pig trough, greedily lapping it up.

We, are the ones that feed the media what we want. And ala Dr. Phil, How's that been working for you?

So Far-600,000 English Quebecers Forced to Flee - Canada's Dirty Secret

Canada is pretty much 'recognized as a Beacon of 'Human Rights & Democracy. It's touted as the country that 'successfully' embraces multiculturalism like none other. It's known as the 'Land Of The Strong And Free'. And like most Canadians, I grew up proudly believing it, with all my heart and soul.

Did you know that that's not true anymore? Here's why: Around 30 years ago, Canada changed - big time! Canada's Charter of Rights was deliberately amended to exclude over 3 million Canadians from its Charter of Rights.

Thirty years ago ethnic cleansing was made legal in Canada! With the stroke of self serving political pens, human rights, equality and freedom and the right to earn a living, were illegally erased for the 3 MILLION English speaking Canadians living in Canada's Province of Quebec. Poof - just like that!... the English language in Quebec, was erased as an official language!! Does this sound confusing to you? Well, trust me - there's more to come.

This is Canada's Dirty Secret and it's been kept very, very quiet. It's something that's NOT discussed. You know - like something that makes person queasy when a truth they don't want told is told. Especially our politicians who've become famous for spouting how proud they are of our: 'Strong and Free' Canada and its renowned record of Peace Keeping & Human Rights. A mantra they publicize all over the globe).    And the biggest Secret Keepers have been our own Canadian Media, that's worked furiously for over 3 decades - to make sure it remains a secret!

That's why I say, Thank God for the Internet.

Below is an edited version of a piece I wrote a year ago on Public Voice and the type of pieces I and countless others have been writing and trying to make public for over 25 years. Pieces that have been muzzled, belittled, denied and shunned. They've labeled us "Those Anglo Extremists" like we're something dirty to be ignored, - because God forbid, we dare speak the TRUTH and embarrass our Canadian politicians!. Think about it. Being called an Anglo Extremist - because you protest your English language being erased from your life! Think about it.

Please help end the ongoing ethnic cleansing in Quebec. Canada.

Did you know that more than 600,000 English speaking Canadians have been FORCED to FLEE their homes - because of Quebec's & Canada's racist language laws! Did you know that Canada's, Province of Quebec has had the biggest Mass Migration of a of a population in 'Modern History' and yet no one knows about it!!

Due to the enactment of mind numbing, discriminatory "Language Laws" (Imagine - a freaking language law - banning English as an official language in Canada !!!); The English language and thereby its culture, institutions, schools, hospitals, media etc... have been systematically erased for the last 30 years. It has crushed our lives and broken up millions of our families - our lives and certainly our hearts beyond measure. And it's something we are still forced to endure every single day.

This, they claim, (our politicians and the press) is being done, to 'supposedly' help save the French language and culture in Quebeck. (Note: Quebeck is the English spelling for Quebec.. but people are no longer allowed to spell it that way) It's espoused that the French language is in danger of being assimilated by the 'sea of English' that surrounds Quebeck etc.. It's a disgusting LIE.    The truth is... the French language has NEVER been in danger in Quebec or in Canada! As a matter of fact, the TRUTH is quite the contrary! The French language and culture have done nothing but 'flourish' 'prosper' and thrive in Quebec and across Canada. Not to mention, that every other freaking French language area surrounded by seas of English or whatever other language - have not been in danger of assimilation have they. And not one of them have language laws or language police!! Language police in Canada - think about it.

And yet... by using this mythical - bigoted - 'excuse', the Government of Canada & Governement de Quebec have proclaimed English illegal and no longer an official language of Quebec. Mind you, the rest of Canada is expected to remain officially bilingual - even though the tiny French population in the rest of Canada certainly doesn't warrant bilingual status!! Have you heard the latest screeches of protest about the Olympics not having enough French? Oh boy, they're shouting it from the rooftops here in la belle province. The irony is: Quebec opted OUT of a bilingual Canada, when they made Quebec FRENCH ONLY!   Their never ending arrogance and lies are stunning, no?

I repeat: Over 600,000 English speaking Quebecers have been 'forced' to flee the province - to date; because they've been deliberately starved out of the workforce - and the 2+ million who remain, are still discriminated against on a daily basis. The 'truth' about Canada's 'dirty little secret', of removing the rights and erasing the English language and culture - and thereby 'condoning - even promoting the 'ethnic cleansing' in Quebec, must be told and must be heard! Because if it can happen to us in Canada OUR Country - it can happen to you! Think about it.

Contrary to media and political hype that pretends Quebec is 95% French - that 3 million English Quebeckers mysteriously disappeared right after the language 'laws' were enacted, the truth is: there are over 2 MILLION English speaking Quebecers left in the Province - (with most living in the greater Montreal area). They are the ones hanging on, by the skin of their teeth - to stay in their homes, in their province and not be forced to flee and/or ' be assimilated into the French language and culture'.   That by the way, does NOT mean they haven't embraced the French language. Most of us are, at the very least - bilingual - if not multilingual.   That's NEVER been the problem!

What it does mean is: it doesn't matter here in Quebec - how many freaking languages you speak!   If, you are an English speaking Quebecer (labeled an Anglo) and God forbid you have an English or non French family name & heritage - you are starved out of the workforce!!   Imagine what that's like. Imagine knowing you'll never be hired in any Provincial or Government areas! Nor will you be hired in most corporations (they're all controlled by French Quebecers and those that are not - are visited by the Office de la Langues Francais - language police - to make sure everything is in French! Imagine being a part of society where a 'caste system' rules the roost - and you are akin to an untouchable.. Where you and your family and language and culture and presence are "tolerated". Where you are told - you should consider yourself 'lucky' that you have an English Daily paper left! Where you're told you should be grateful that you're tolerated! That you should be grateful that some Anglo's have access to government services in English at all! Think about living like that - having be a part of your daily existence. Think about your children - growing up knowing they are an 'autres'.

Did you know we have freaking 'LANGUAGE POLICE' here? Their job is to boot stomp into every business in the greater Montreal area to make sure there are no dirty English signs or business being done in English? That is if they have over 50 employees. But now, they're working to fix that law as well. Le Gouvernement de Quebec - with our Federal governments blessing, are proposing an extra language law.. so ALL businesses in the greater Montreal area are French only!   The only area in the freaking Province, where the majority language AND population are English speaking (note - that's the way it's been for centuries) will be "cleansed of that dirty English'' come hell or high water!

An irony here is, what is being done to English speaking Quebeckers is, EXACTLY - what the 'Quebec separatists and nationalists' claim they are supposedly fighting against having happen to them! In other words, even though the French language & culture has NEVER been in danger of being 'assimilated' - they with OUR Federal Government's blessing have no problem 'erasing Quebeck's English language and culture' off the map! By the way, when the ethnic cleansing began, we're talking about over 3 million English Canadians living in Quebec!!! 3 million people that were the other half of the population that built the province - side by side with their fellow French Canadians!! They lived together in harmony for 4 centuries - in English or French or both!

So imagine the shock and pain of 'with the stroke of a political pen' being labeled an outcast an 'autres'. . Being English in Quebeck - living in our cities, our homes, being thrown out of our jobs - because we are English ... and being told to MOVE - GET OUT - 'Take the 401' if we don't like it!   And instead of helping us and PROTECTING OUR RIGHT TO EXIST, Canada's politicians HAVE DONE and SAID NOTHING. They have instead, chosen to deny our existence - chosen to allow our English Quebeck to be ERASED - ethically CLEANSED. (For those who foam at the mouth over my using the term 'ethnic cleansing - go look up the definition - it fits. It's the truth)

Why is that? Because they, our politicians falsely believe they'll lose the, fence sitting - sometimes Federalist - sometimes Separatist vote.   They've also been instructed by our Federal leaders to look the other way! They've been instructed to allow the annihilation of the English language and culture and therefore its people, in Quebeck, Canada to continue!

Instead of protecting us, our Canadian politicians - our supposed representatives - that take OUR tax dollars (you know the land of the strong and free thing) and use our hard earned money to freaking erase us!   They've opted to get into bed with the very people clamoring to destroy our Country! They pal around and hob nob with Separatist politicians whose sole purpose is to vigorously promote the ethnic cleansing of - the English - les autres, the others out of the province!! They behave as thought we don't really exist!!   They pretend by calling us a small minority!    They refer to over 2 MILLION people as - a tiny minority that doesn't count. I repeat we've been labeled 'les autres' (The Others). Another irony - the "Others"   us, the non French Quebecker happens to be and always was - the biggest tax bucket in their trough!

Listen to your heart - please.

Do your part please. Every voice counts. Do your part and demand the TRUTH!   Demand the immediate RETURN of the same RIGHTS and LANGUAGE the rest of Canada enjoys. Unfortunately this BLOG is an example of the ridiculous lengths we are FORCED to go to. Then again, I thank God for the web - because we finally have access to a forum that won't muzzle the truth.

Remember, The Charter of Rights in Canada was changed. It excludes over 2 million of your fellow - Canadian citizens. Think about it. It's the truth. Ethnic cleansing is here - in our country. It's freaking legal in our Canada. How many Canadian soldiers gave their lives in World War II - so that would never happen in our Canada? It's here. It's been made legal. How do you feel about this happening in our country - in North America - the land of the 'free'?

So, please help us! Ethnic cleansing - soft - as some prefer to describe what is being forced upon us -- or HARD - is an international crime!   Help us. Let the world know Canada's Secret. Tell them about this untold historic ugliness! Tell them about the 600,000 Canadians forced out of their homes - forced to split up their families - forced out of their jobs - forced to FLEE the ugly discrimination going on in Quebec.

And remember over 2 million of us - are still denied the right and freedom to earn a freaking living in English and/or French - and are denied the right to keep their/our/your English culture alive in Quebec in Canada!! Think about it. Think about it with your heart.

Why don't funerals get easier??

I've attended seven funerals in the last 16 months, and one would think, after the third or fourth - they'd be easier to deal with, no? Well in my case I've discovered it's getting harder and harder.

I'm a baby boomer - and I certainly understand that attending funerals of loved ones, is something I have to accept as an ongoing part of my future and also understand all the stuff that goes with the loss of loved ones   And I truly believed I was good with the fact that we are all going to die, and we should treasure each day we have and live it to the fullest and all that other, "I'm at peace with myself, my spiritual beliefs, I know what life is all about...etc"   stuff I've been spouting for decades; Only to discover - I've been bullshitting myself!   I don't feel in the least bit, peaceful and feel my ability to give peace has disintegrated into a realm of nothingness!

Having endured enough of lifes ups and downs (too many freaking downs for my taste) I also believed there wasn't much left I couldn't handle. I was wrong. The norm I've always known doesn't seem to exist anymore. I've never had a problem helping anyone when they're in need. As a matter of fact it's a part of my nature and has been as natural to me as breathing.

So what on earth has happened to me? I've lost my words. I've lost my ability to say what a person needs to hear. I've lost the words that ease the pain. I have no words. They're gone. They left me. What's going on? Shouldn't I have extraordinary expertise - with all this funeral experience?   What's happened to me instead is, my brain has gone numb. It feels empty.   The more funerals I attend - it seems the duller I get.

Please know, intellectually I understand what I'm going through is part of my own mourning process etc.... As a matter of fact - a couple of the funerals are stories in their own right - one filled with both sorrow and terror, the other a comedy of events that would challenge a Jim Carey movie!   But my heart and my body don't seem to give a flying leap about my intellect. And they're busy giving me a lesson on what rules and intellect is not it!

And I think the reason for writing this is because another dearly loved one is at the palliative stage and I need to get out of this space I'm in. I sure could use some advice and trust me, for those that know me.... asking for advice is certainly not my style.

Why don't funerals get easier? And why do I feel so empty?

Think about this. Mainstream media is pretty much our source of information for news. Mainstream media determines, what information we are going to see and they model exactly how they want us to interpret that information. A Canadian journalist Sally Armstrong, said it best: "We are what the media feeds us".

Therefore, the media has a responsibility to tell us the TRUTH, the whole truth and nothing but the truth; only after ensuring all the who, what, when, where and why's are based on FACT!

The media determines, among many other things, what the public thinks - how they react - who to vote for.

It's an incredible power that must always be dealt with - with utmost care and responsibility.

So far, they've been doing a PISS-POOR job of it. AKA: Dr. Phil "How's it been working for you?"

Fort Hood - Personal Account of Event

            Folks, this came to me from a friend who is a retired BG and still has close friends at Ft. Hood. I asked him for permission to send it to those of you who I knew would be interested.
            Quite a more in-depth look than what we saw on TV and the print media.

            Subject: What happened

            Since I don't know when I'll sleep (it's 4 am now) I'll write what happened (the abbreviated version.....the long one is already part of the investigation with more to come). I'll not write about any part of the investigation that I've learned about since (as a witness I know more than I should since inevitably my JAG brothers and sisters are deeply involved in the investigation). Don't assume that most of the current media accounts are very accurate. They're not. They'll improve with time. Only those of us who were there really know what went down. But as they collate our statements they'll get it right.

             I did my SRP last week (Soldier Readiness Processing) but you're supposed to come back a week later to have them look at the smallpox vaccination site (it's this big itchy growth on your shoulder). I am probably alive because I pulled a ---------- and entered the wrong building first (the main SRP building). The Medical SRP building is off to the side. Realizing my mistake I left the main building and walked down the sidewalk to the medical SRP building. As I'm walking up to it the gunshots start. Slow and methodical. But continuous. Two ambulatory wounded came out. Then two soldiers dragging a third who was covered in blood. Hearing the shots but not seeing the shooter, along with a couple other soldiers I stood in the street and yelled at everyone who came running that it was clear but to "RUN!". I kept motioning people fast.

            About 6-10 minutes later (the shooting continuous), two cops ran up. one male, one female. we pointed in the direction of the shots. they headed that way (the medical SRP building was about 50 meters away). then a lot more gunfire. a couple minutes later a balding man in ACU's came around the building carrying a pistol and holding it tactically. He started shooting at us and we all dived back to the cars behind us. I don't think he hit the couple other guys who were there. I did see the bullet holes later in the cars. First I went behind a tire and then looked under the body of the car. I've been trained how to respond to gunfire...but with my own weapon. To have no weapon I don't know how to explain what that felt like. I hadn't run away and stayed because I had thought about the consequences or anything like that. I wasn't thinking anything through. Please understand, there was no intention. I was just staying there because I didn't think about running. It never occurred to me that he might shoot me. Until he started shooting in my direction and I realized I was unarmed.

            Then the female cop comes around the corner. He shoots her. (according to the news accounts she got a round into him. I believe it, I just didn't see it. he didn't go down..) She goes down. He starts reloading. He's fiddling with his mags. Weirdly he hasn't dropped the one that was in his weapon. He's holding the fresh one and the old one (you do that on the range when time is not of the essence but in combat you would just let the old mag go). I see the male cop around the left corner of the building. (I'm about 15-20 meters from the shooter.) I yell at the cop, "He's reloading, he's reloading. Shoot him! Shoot him!) You have to understand, everything was quiet at this point. The cop appears to hear me and comes around the corner and shoots the shooter. He goes down. The cop kicks his weapon further away. I sprint up to the downed female cop.

            Another captain (I think he was with me behind the cars) comes up as well. She's bleeding profusely out of her thigh. We take our belts off and tourniquet her just like we've been trained (I hope we did it right...we didn't have any CLS (combat lifesaver) bags with their awesome tourniquets on us, so we worked with what we had). Meanwhile, in the most bizarre moment of the day, a photographer was standing over us taking pictures. I suppose I'll be seeing those tomorrow. Then a soldier came up and identified himself as a medic. I then realized her weapon was lying there unsecured (and on "fire"). I stood over it and when I saw a cop yelled for him to come over and secure her weapon (I would have done so but I was worried someone would mistake me for a bad guy). I then went over to the shooter. He was unconscious. A Lt Colonel was there and had secured his primary weapon for the time being. He also had a revolver. I couldn't believe he was one of ours. I didn't want to believe it. Then I saw his name and rank and realized this wasn't just some specialist with mental issues.

            At this point there was a guy there from CID and I asked him if he knew he was the shooter and had him secured. He said he did. I then went over the slaughter house. the medical SRP building. No human should ever have to see what that looked like. and I won't tell you. Just believe me. Please. there was nothing to be done there. Someone then said there was someone critically wounded around the corner. I ran around (while seeing this floor to ceiling window that someone had jumped through movie style) and saw a large African-American soldier lying on his back with two or three soldiers attending. I ran up and identified two entrance wounds on the right side of his stomach, one exit wound on the left side and one head wound. He was not bleeding externally from the stomach wounds (though almost certainly internally) but was bleeding from the head wound. A soldier was using a shirt to try and stop the head bleeding. He was conscious so I began talking to him to keep him so. He was 42, from North Carolina, he was named something Jr., his son was named something III and he had a daughter as well. His children lived with him. He was divorced. I told him the blubber on his stomach saved his life. He smiled..   a young soldier in civvies showed up and identified himself as a combat medic. We debated whether to put him on the back of a pickup truck. A doctor (well, an audiologist) showed up and said you can't move him, he has a head wound. we finally sat tight.

            I went back to the slaughterhouse. they weren't letting anyone in there. not even medics. finally, after about 45 minutes had elapsed some cops showed up in tactical vests. someone said the TBI building was unsecured. They headed into there. All of a sudden a couple more shots were fired. People shouted there was a second shooter. a half hour later the SWAT showed up. there was no second shooter. that had been an impetuous cop apparently. but that confused things for a while. meanwhile I went back to the shooter. the female cop had been taken away. a medic was pumping plasma into the shooter. I'm not proud of this but I went up to her and said "this is the shooter, is there anyone else who needs attention....do them first". she indicated everyone else living was attended to. I still hadn't seen any EMTs or ambulances.   I had so much blood on me that people kept asking me if I was ok. but that was all other people's blood. eventually (an hour and a half to two hours after the shootings) they started landing choppers. they took out the big African American guy and the shooter. I guess the ambulatory wounded were all at the SRP building. Everyone else in my area was dead.

            I suppose the emergency responders were told there were multiple shooters. I heard that was the delay with the choppers (they were all civilian helicopters). they needed a secure LZ. but other than the initial cops who did everything right, I didnt' see a lot of them for a while. I did see many a soldier rush out to help their fellows/sisters. there was one female soldier, I dont' know her name or rank but I would recognize her anywhere who was everywhere helping people. a couple people, mainly civilians, were hysterical, but only a couple. one civilian freaked out when I tried to comfort her when she saw my uniform. I guess she had seen the shooter up close. a lot of soldiers were rushing out to help even when we thought there was another gunman out there. this Army is not broken no matter what the pundits say. not the Army I saw.

            and then they kept me for a long time to come. oh, and perhaps the most surreal thing, at 1500 (the end of the workday on Thursdays) when the bugle sounded we all came to attention and saluted the flag. in the middle of it all.   this is what I saw. it can't have been real. but this is my small corner of what happened.

Canada's Dirty Little Secret & Supreme Court's Wonky Decision

Did you know that Canada has its own "Dirty Little Ethnic Cleansing Secret"   that's been kept out of mainstream media for well over 30 years? In a nutshell, the Province of Quebec removed English as an official language - with Canada's blessing - and thereby allowed the Province to begin their version of ethnic cleansing, most often referred to as "soft ethnic cleansing"; meaning they haven't sent any English Quebeckers off to concentration camps like Hitler did. They just make their lives so miserable.. that people have no choice to leave, if they can.

Over 600,000 English Canadians have fled the province, mostly because they were forced out of their jobs and/or were sickened over what has happpened to their beloved home Province. With the stroke of a pen, the official language was changed to French, and English is something to be reviled as a dirty and unaccetable in Quebec, (La Belle Province - The Nice Province - oxymoron or what) -  Being English became a dirty thing. The English were labeled "Les Autres", (the others).

Did you know, it's illegal to post signs in English; and if someone dares put up a sign that includes "another language" it must be 1/3 the size of French? Quebec - a Province in CANADA has "Language Police" (Language Gestapo) whose only job is to go out and fine business owners who dare thwart their French ONLY "Language Law". Even though the English community has just as long and just as much history in La Belle Province, its culture is being erased as thoroughly as a plague!

It's a long story that I'll address another time, but I needed to set the foundation for Canada's Supreme Court Decision today - that was wonky enough to make ones head spin...  A Supreme Court Judge today --- opened the door to even more discrimination - being made legal!! But he advised the Quebec government to work to make it sound nicer!

It's taken seven years for the Supreme Court to get off its ass and hear the case; A case that will allow parents to send their children to the school of their choice; (meaning English or French school). That's another long story.. suffice to say - addressing the blatant discrimination and a total denial of the Charter of Rights in Quebec! Imagine - a parent cannot send their child to an English school in Quebec!

Quebec enacted a bill 104 - that did NOT allow immigrants - or any child into the English school system; unless one of their parents had had an English education in Canada!   This of course resulted in over 90% of English schools closing helping to achieve the erasure of the English culture out of the Province. I have to note here that this is happening in the greater Montreal area, where the MAJORITY of the population is, first or second language English speaking. We're talking about 2,000,000 people that the Federal and Provincial governments pretend don't exist!!

Today, Canada's SUPREME COURT decided that Bill 104 is unconstitutional... BUT ... here comes the wonky part; the Judge told Quebec, I'll give you a year, to come up with a NICER way TO DO IT!!   Can you believe that? A Supreme Court Judge... saying, come up with a NICER way to DISCRIMINATE... AND a NICER way to CLEANSE, ERASE the English population out of Quebec?   How sick is that?
